Hi, I’m George, a registered Emergency Nurse who has proudly worked across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. Just like you, I’ve witnessed it all those long, grueling night shifts, the rush of adrenaline when every second counts, the heartbreak of tough outcomes, and the relentless burnout that quietly creeps in when you’re constantly running on empty. I reached my breaking point, feeling overwhelmed and ready to walk away from the career I had poured my heart and soul into for so many years.
It was in that moment of exhaustion and despair that I had a powerful realization: Nurses give everything they have to care for others, yet there are few systems designed to truly give back to them in return. This insight became the driving spark behind NurseUp.
NurseUp is a platform created not by a distant tech company, but by someone who’s been in the trenches, whether it’s on the ward floor, in the resus bay, or under the harsh glow of fluorescent lights at 3 a.m. I built NurseUp because I believe no nurse should face the immense challenges of this profession alone.
