What is NurseUp?

NurseUp is a digital ecosystem for nurses—combining micro-learning (AI Academy), an on-shift clinical companion (NurseUp Buddy), and wellness support (Mind & Mood).

Who created NurseUp?
NurseUp was founded by George Maunder, RN (ED). It’s built by a nurse, for nurses—with real frontline insight.

Who is Nurse Flo?
Flo is our friendly AI persona inspired by Florence Nightingale—the voice that guides learning, supports you on shift, and reminds you to look after yourself.

Is NurseUp only for students?
No. Students and new grads use the AI Academy; practicing nurses use Buddy for on-shift prompts; everyone benefits from Mind & Mood.

When did you launch?
Founded in 2025. We’re rolling out features in phases so quality stays high.

What does NurseUp AI Academy include?
Bite-sized lessons, flashcards, mnemonics, quick definitions, and practice prompts to turn study stress into confidence.

What is NurseUp Buddy?
A calm, real-time assistant for shift support—think SBAR scaffolding, ABCDE prompts, handover reminders, red-flag checks, and documentation cues.

What is Mind & Mood?
Short resets (breathing, affirmations, micro-journals) designed for busy shifts and post-shift decompression.

Can I use NurseUp on mobile?
Yes—designed mobile-first. Works on modern browsers across phone, tablet, and desktop.

Does NurseUp work offline?
Core content packs may be downloadable; AI features require internet.

Is NurseUp a replacement for clinical judgment?
No. NurseUp is a support tool. Always follow local policies, your clinical leads, and emergency protocols.

Where does the clinical content come from?
From nursing best-practice references structured by clinicians and reviewed for clarity. We continuously refine with feedback.

What if I see an incorrect or unsafe answer?
Flag it via the in-app “Report” link or contact page. We review and patch quickly—safety is non-negotiable.

Does NurseUp give emergency instructions?
We can surface standard frameworks (e.g., ABCDE), but in an emergency, follow your site protocols and call your country’s emergency number immediately.

How much does it cost?
Individual pricing will start with a low monthly plan for AI tools, with optional add-ons. We’ll also offer free resources and trials.

Is there a free trial?
Yes—there will be a limited trial so you can test Academy and Buddy before subscribing.

Do you offer student discounts?
We aim to. Join the email list to get early-bird pricing and student promos.

Can institutions get access?
Yes—schools and hospitals can request pilots or licenses. See “For Institutions” below.

Do you store personal health information (PHI)?
We avoid collecting PHI. If you enter sensitive information, it’s processed under our privacy policy and security controls. Don’t share identifiable patient data.

Is my data used to train public models?
No—our policy is to prevent your private inputs from being used to train public models. We use secure providers and audit frequently.

Can I delete my data?
Yes. Request deletion through your account or contact us; we’ll confirm once it’s completed.

Which languages are supported?
English at launch; multi-language support is on our roadmap.

Is the content aligned to my country?
We start with widely used frameworks (e.g., ABCDE, SBAR). Country-specific adaptations will roll out with clinical advisors—always follow local guidelines.

Does NurseUp prepare me for OSCE/NCLEX-style exams?
Yes—the Academy includes micro-prep, recall prompts, and reasoning practice. The focus is real-world confidence, not just test scores.

Can NurseUp help me on night shift or in rural settings?
That’s exactly the point—quick prompts, checklists, and calm guidance when senior support is thin.
